I taught Ashley in an interdisciplinary course while she was at FGCU. This course required her to synthesize complex concepts. She worked extremely hard in my class and did well. Personally, Ashley is a delightful and effervescent student. She was a joy to have in class. After she completed the course, we kept in touch and she has even babysat for me. I trust her implicitly. I can highly recommend Ashley! If I can advocate for her further please let me know. apittman@fgcu.edu.

I am interning here at Grace Place. I work in the 3 year old part time classroom. I create lesson plans and work with the kids Monday-Thursday. Monday and Tuesday I have the same group of kids, Wednesday is a totally different group of kids and Thursday is a totally different set of kids. I am interning here at Grace Place. I was an intern here for the Special Olympics. It was a wonderful experience. My whole life I had been working with middle schoolers, so this was an opportunity I never thought I would have taken but I did. it was life changing on seeing the difference in kids I was use to working with and seeing how grateful and loving these kids were just melted my heart. These parents where amazing and so involved with their kids it made me so happy. On Saturdays we held a program for kids from the ages go 2 to 7 years old. This program is about teaching the parents how to play with their special needs children. It was for about an hour and they just played and we where there to watch and supervise what went on in the play area and help them with what should be happening with their kids. Show less
