In 2017, launched the Resilient Communities Initiative, focused on building resilience in the Greater Racine area. The initiative catalyzed a series of informal Resilient Communities Roundtable discussions among top local and county leaders to explore ways in which they might work together to benefit each municipality and the region. In 2022, the group formalized and expanded to become the Racine County Intergovernmental Cooperation Council.
