Senior Technical Advisor
-
Feb 2012 - Jan 2016
Having worked within the Practice updating the systems, marketing processes and ensuring the Practice was ready for RDR, I moved into the more technical aspect of financial planning, and now provide holistic financial advice to over 1,000 clients, within a Principal Partner Practice with over £185 million of funds under management. Having worked to becoming Diploma Qualified, I am now responsible for the holistic financial requirements of the ultra high net worth clients within the Practice, and represent their first contact with any queries they have. Fully qualified to complete reports in respect of tax, pension, estate and investment planning, in association with St. James's Place, we also provide detailed fund analysis, and analysis of any plans held outside of St. James's Place by our clients. Attending meetings with the Principal Partner within the Practice, I am undertaking the internal examinations required to become authorised, with a view to moving into an Adviser role in the near future. Continuing on my personal development, I am due to sit AF4 in October, with a view to become Chartered within the next 2 years. Show less

Marketing Manager and Client Relationship Manager

Feb 2010 - Feb 2012
Tasked with bringing the Practice in line with RDR requirements, putting in place new systems to cater for the regular servicing and day to day needs of 1,000 plus clients, as well as developing a marketing strategy to create an 'informed' client bank. Key responsibilities included integrating the new systems with the day to day working of the Practice, classifying each client and subsequently putting into place a servicing proposition for each client, to ensure regular contact, as well as training members the team and assisting in all IT needs. From the marketing side, aim was to make Partner level of business (equating to £125,000 initial commission) from new clients and referrals, on an annually recurring basis. On top of new business figures, Practice was grown to achieve 4x Partner level on an on-going basis. Client retention rate increased to 98%, and fully trained Marketing Department now maintains levels of business and client servicing requirements. My role within the Practice also meant I was the first port of call for all client queries, as well as ensuring market developments and regulatory changes were communicated effectively to the entire client bank.
