As Director, responsibilities included membership, hotel, F&B, club-house, golf course, sports facilities, marketing, commercial, financial (budgeting, strategic planning & control) and health & safety with a team at its height of 70 plus people. Arcos Gardens grew into a community of 130 homes with a strong reputation for excellent service and quality facilities. It hosted the European tour qualifying school for 4 years and became a ‘Golf World’ European Top 100 golf course. Hotel services consisted of an 11-bedroom farmhouse boutique hotel, 44 two-bedroom townhouses and six large luxurious villas. The award winning resort developed a reputation for elite training and became the official winter training headquarters for the Swedish Golf Federation, English Golf Union and the PGA of Germany.
