Teaching Assistant for a Python Summer Bridge Program
-
Aug 2022 - Aug 2022
For the first two weeks of August, I was a teaching assistant to two professors for a summer bridge program that prepared a group of 25 incoming freshmen for their degree in Computer Science by introducing them to the Python language and also preparing them for the semester. I helped students set up PyCharm and Python on their computers, showed the students how to utilize Teaching Assistants for help, helped students find bugs and issues in their code, and explained concepts that were not clear to them. Intern
-
Feb 2021 - Mar 2021
This was a six week internship during school hours. I performed an experiment comparing a standard drug and a home medicinal drug with their efficiency against cancerous drugs. Part of my experiment included re-plating cell plates, diluting drugs, treating cells with the medicine, and counting the growth of cells. This was a six week internship during school hours. For four hours a day, four days a week, I helped students participating in the Code to Success summer boot camp. While I learned the same material, I also helped these students with their own coding bugs. We learned CSS, HTML, and JSX.
