I continued my role as research coordinator for the PRESS study, as well as assisting in starting the manuscript for the project, hoping to be published by the end of the year. I am currently still working on the paper until my part is complete. I also was a part of the Ironman data entry team, where I was in a HIPPA protected room entering data for years as far back as 1992!

Through this experience thus far, I have learned new leadership skills and how to coordinate with several people including my research assistants, the participants, and professors from other labs who work with our participants as well. I have strengthened my communication skills both in-person and over email/text message. I am looking forward to continuing with this project over the summer and aiding in writing the methods section for the manuscript!

Pullman, Washington I prepare and serve a variety of food options for the athletes at Washington State University for their pre and post workouts in the weight room. I also put together boxes of food with different nutritious foods and drinks for when the teams are at practice or games. Through this experience, I learned how important nutrition is not only in the general population, but for collegiate athletes as well. It is what fuels them to get the energy to perform at their best!
