CRUD Flask-app project. - Created a basic Create, Read, Update and Delete applications. Deployed and tested through Jenkins. I used newly learnt skills; Using GCP to create my Ubuntu instance, Git to push and pull work to GitHub, Markdown to document the project in README.md, MySQL for storing my app data, and coding and testing through python and pytest. Automated CI service-orientated app project. - I built an application with 4 services, a separate MySQL database and used Nginx as a reverse proxy. I deployed the app using a Jenkins pipeline with scripts to automate the testing, containerising each service, configuration of my three VM’s with Ansible, and deploying it with docker swarm. Setting up a GitHub webhook with Jenkins, I could demonstrate how the application with be automatically rebuilt with each new update to the GitHub repository. Show less

    • Creative Pattern Cutter
      • Apr 2014 - May 2020

I was promoted from Junior Pattern Cutter in 2017 due to increased skill level, responsibilities and speed. I am immensely proud to have been a part of the Boohoo family for so many years. I worked in a fast-paced role working as a member of BooHoo’s larger design team. I was responsible for ensuring samples were ready by strict deadlines, by organising my machinist’s work schedule. I working closely with designers to transform a creative vision into a viable product. I communicated with third party suppliers. I would calculate fabric consumption to aid with overall costing and ordering. Creating technical drawings for my patterns to aid production. I had the privilege to work with the board of directors as a member of the Boohoo Junior Board. Extra responsibilities • 2017 I was appointed fire safety warden for my floor and received relevant training. • 2019 I became a member of the first Boohoo Junior Board. We were put through “The Apprentice” type tasks in order to be selected. And subsequently were consulted and asked for our input in various Boohoo products. Show less

    • Technical Pattern Cutter/Lingerie Designer
      • Mar 2013 - Feb 2014

My primary role was digital pattern cutting lingerie/swimwear with Optitex software. I then took on the role of lingerie designer alongside this. I have experience liaising with third party merchants. Working closely with product testers to improve the fit of products. I would create specification packs for production with Excel and Adobe. Weekly I would present designs/ideas to the company director using PowerPoint. https://www.lancashirelife.co.uk/style/fashion/made-in-preston-a-fashion-house-for-all-women-1-3764901 Show less
