Accountant
-
Oct 2005 - Jan 2007
Track revenue and expenses on grants, Federal and State financial reporting, have done monthly and yearly department financial closes and continue to help my supervisor with them when needed, weekly billing and revenue when my supervisor was gone, bi-weekly compensated absences entry, journal entries, grant closings, and handle audit inquiries on my grants. I was the accountant for Indian Health Services, Sequoyah High School, DOI Roads, Federal other and State grants. I also assisted other accountants with their grants such as HUD, DHHS, EHS as well as other grants from various agencies. I explained monthly flux analysis, go over bank reconciliations, work with and know the activities process, upload entries when needed, run reports for my programs when they need them, supply programs with unexpended balances and carryover, and work with my programs to work out any problems that may arise. I also analyzed revenue and expenditures on all of my grants to ensure the program knows how much they have to spend, that they do not spend more than they are budgeted, and that they budget funds that they are granted.
