  My role at ActewAGL involves assessing defects on the distribution network, site visits for scoping of works required, estimating and work packaging of poles and network defects. I am required to assess pole inspector's reports and photos to identify any relevant defects that could cause safety concerns, loss of power or damage to the network. Transmission: During my time as a Works Planner/Estimator I have also been responsible for the assessment and scoping of the Transmission Pole Replacement Project. I am required to re assess old pole size data and research components necessary for the replacement of old poles with new hardware. I have also been responsible for designing a standard concrete transmission pole for use by Rocla to build for our procurement. I have achieved this by liaising with standards, engineers, field staff and powerline hardware supply companies. When the opportunity arose I took on a senior position when the senior staff member was away on leave. Show less
