For the 2020 Festival, we expanded programming to the entire month of October and pivoted to be virtual and free for all. My role focused primarily on program development. Specifically, using my Montessori teaching experience and certification, I created a virtual, interdisciplinary, hands-on caterpillar condo curriculum supported by 4-video lessons created in partnership with Symbio-Hush. I partnered with local artist Jose Sotelo and others to create altar kits to deliver to members of the community to be able to mourn in the safety of their home. We partnered with Walley Films to create a short documentary 2020: A Metamorphosis and I acted as co-writer. As project Manager 2019 Festival, I organized and oversaw all aspects of a one-week pollinator advocacy festival and worked with partners, sponsors, interns and Festival Director and founder, Monika Maeckle.
