In this new role, I will increase time visiting patients in pre-op, conducting chart reviews for data collection, and attending lab meetings. Additionally, I will assist with general laboratory activities, including maintenance of study specimens and related records, filing and monitoring documents, and keeping accurate and detailed descriptions of experimental files and results. Recently, I have had the opportunity to present various exciting topics, including how virtual reality (VR) can help patients manage chronic pain and whether excision or ablation is more effective for reducing endometriosis symptoms. I also had my first OR experience and observed an oophorectomy and trachelectomy. I am grateful for this experience as I continue to enhance my enthusiasm for research and women's health, two topics I hope to pursue as a future physician.
