A challenging and rewarding project, in which I used independent learning and research skills to characterise a family of human proteins in response to infection with the parasite Toxoplasma gondii. This is a competitve field with increasing profile, requiring meticulous dedication to suceed. I have a number of publications, include a first author in Cellular Microbiology I was in frequent attendance and participation of Infection & Immunology seminars and journal clubs. I carried out supervision of an undergraduate student Sept 2014- Sept 2015. Throughout my project I worked within a close-knit team, sharing knowledge and ideas. I gained invaluable project management , analytical and organisational skills. I developed a very high level of attention to detail. These are important skills that I have been able to transfer into new career possibilities. Show less
