Maker Mela is an initiative of Somaiya Trust & Somaiya Vidyavihar; organized by riidl and supported by Department of Science & Technology; BIRAC, Govt of India & MSInS, Govt of Maharashtra. We host a community of 10,000+ innovators globally, with at least 100 teams showcasing their innovations every year. Being Asia’s Biggest Maker Gathering, it is supported by various prominent organisations including UNESCO, Startup India, Skill India & NYCS. For the first time in the 6 editions, Maker Mela was hosted virtually on makermela.com featuring innovators from arts, crafts, engineering, science, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset, and the Maker Movement. Key roles: - Coordinated and maintained healthy relations with the heads of innovation & student councils. - Evaluated 100+ Makers' profiles from the application pool along with the jury panel. - On-boarding makers & startups from 15+ countries across globe. - Worked closely with the Digital Marketing, Video Editing, Partnership & other teams to ensure timely execution and delivery of content. - To host makers on our virtual platform wherein they received more than 75,000 views in less than 30 hours by visitors from 63 countries including India, Japan, USA, South Korea and Nepal.
