I have worked with Ash for more than 9 years and on many different projects and have found him to be someone you can really rely upon to do a great job. Ash has that rare talent; he is a highly technical person with a wealth of expertise in IT, yet he is also a great communicator and writer. He is in tune with our customers and whether is he speaking at an operational level to support staff or to IT Directors or CIOs - he is highly professional, a good listener and has excellent analytical skills. I particularly like the way he brings a fresh approach to tackling quite complex problems and have seen this first hand with some of our bigger accounts. He is "Mr Preparation" ; always well organised in advance to ensure that all parties get the most out of any engagement, whether it’s a customer review meeting , an event, a formal presentation or an internal meeting, where for example, we need a lot of technical research doing before making an important business decision. I have enjoyed visiting customers and attending IT industry user events and conferences with Ash. He is an accomplished speaker so is well known and well respected by his peer group in the IBM i industry. He has embraced the new role of Product Marketing Manager and was the obvious choice to take on the job and use his background to really make it work for the business. In this role he has forged closer relationships with our partners and our customers and formed important new links with user groups and IBM. Ash has also defined a clear structure and process for launching and promoting new products so that all teams at Halcyon work to maximum efficiency. On a personal level he is good to have around, he has tremendous team spirit and a great sense of humour and I have enjoyed working alongside him to expand the business internationally and grow our revenues. I have also learned a lot about Sheffield United FC !

Ash and I worked together for many years at Halcyon Software, where he managed the Technical Services team in delivering various support services to the US around the clock. Ash played an instrumental in getting all of our high profile accounts off the ground and fully transitioning them from pre to post sales delivery. He was always in the know on the various product sets, competitive stats and creative ways to turn customer problems into selling opportunities. Ash is a talented co-worker whose experience and demeanor can settle a lot of nerves, and make the customer experience that much better.

I managed the product development process from concept through to release including competitive analysis, workload prioritization, product release planning, working with early adopters, developing marketing messages to accompany product launch plans, sales team training and partner awareness. My role included analyzing and understanding the latest technology advancements to identify market opportunities for future enhancements and solutions in-keeping with product line and overall company goals. I was able to articulate a products value by performing industry talks, conducting webinars, writing whitepapers and creating powerful marketing collateral.
