An Initiative by the British Government, to identify issues in remote villages of India, and to work alongside with British Volunteers as a team to following integral sectors of the adopted community: 1. Health. 2. Education. 3. Civic Participation. We worked on surveying villagers, approaching stakeholders with identified problems and finally working in synergy with the community to find solutions, which empower the community as a whole. Major Highlights of the Project were : 1. Formation of Women group, Children Group and Youth group. 2. Spreading awareness on cleanliness and menstrual hygiene. 3. Placement of a full-time nurse in the village. 4. Getting water in pipelines for daily use. 5. Successful organization of Health Camp, and a camp oriented towards facilitating legal documentation. We had Mid Phase Review in the first half and after completion of the Internship, we held a Debrief to reflect on personal learning, the amount of impact we had on the community, how our achievements were related to global issues and what we can do in our home community. Finally "Action at Home" project was carried by each individual volunteer in their home community to address crucial issues that needed attention, awareness and a potential solution by bringing the community together.
