Asavari is an excellent leader who made significant contributions to the Medtronic India Development Center during her 5-yr tenure. She has deep subject matter expertise in SW and medical product development, combined with great people management skills. Within short time of being hired, she created a proper structure for our SW and embedded design and test organization. She groomed technical leads with people management capabilities into strong engineering managers, identified and coached high potential early career talent, addressed underperformance issues in timely manner, and overall created a high-performing team of ~50 engineers in SW and Embedded design & test. Understanding the root cause of many inefficiencies in our SW development process, she proposed and successfully carried out Agile transformation within the site, overcoming initial reluctance to process change. She also did hands-on SW project management, took ownership of creating/revising SW SOPs, and got involved in technical decision making and resolving complex issues related to the product features. Additionally, she interfaced very well with a global team in a matrixed structure. Lastly, she did an outstanding job serving as local site lead for the Women’s Network employee resource group, and participated in / led multiple employee engagement improvement initiatives. I wish her great luck in her next endeavor.

Asavari is a very gifted manager with great energy. She has a unique capability to track project details while maintaining a clear balance on people related aspects. She provides great leadership to the project, and has a strong ability to inspire true motivation in the project team. A very special leader who really achieves strong accomplishments, both for herself, and, more importantly, for her project team. She is able to deal with challenges at ease. As her manager, I have rarely had escalations on her work from her team or from our global Philips partners. Asavari comes across as a person with a very balanced outlook but at the same time she is able to energize the people around her. As a manager she is very detail oriented and has successfully executed on complex global assignments. She is also very people oriented and can either be tough or understanding with a direct report given the situation. She is easy to work with and is down to earth. She is comfortable working with geographically distributed teams and has successfully managed global projects. She is my preferred manager because of the consistency of her performance. As a people manager she has consistently proven that she is able to build high performing teams and as a project manager she has proven that she understands the finer nuances of the field. I definitely believe she has high potential and will be an asset to any organization that she works with.
