Also, I'm participating in all architecture plannings and managing 1 remote DevOps engineer. • Main responsibilities: * Automate bare-metal setup with Chef, shared Chef knowledge in the team. * Automate AWS with Terraform and taught the developers. * Many integration, work on stability and performance issues. * Stabilize and educate teammates to maintain and use Mesos cluster. * OnCall Key technologies are: Chef, Razor, Terraform, Mesos, Haproxy, Nginx, Docker, Vagrant, Jenkins, Aerospike, Redis, Percona, Kafka, Ruby on Rails, AWS, Docker, Scala, SBT. Main achievements are: - I could work in an unstable environment when any changes in Chef are not predictable. So I was working hard to spread TDD practice for the Chef, Ruby code checks and ChefSpec and Test Kitchen. Refactored many existing cookbooks and added tests. Migrated our tests from Vagrant to Docker. Contribute back to community cookbooks. I was happy to use my previous experience with Chef. Use Jenkins build to test it regularly. - Second things, couldn't see so many accounts. And was working and pushing to integrate them with existing ADFS. - We had a Mesos cluster, without any expert left in the team. I had previous experience with Mesos. I made it stable and shared knowledge. From that time we had no incidents with Mesos. - Writing documentation for all components I touched. - Implement basic ChatOps practice - Did a lot of optimization in our configuration and components to speed up TTFB - Build a custom canary releases for cloud migration I joined Fyber's engineering team to help them migrate to the AWS cloud. Unfortunately amazing people and engineers with whom I proud to work together were working on covering daily issues and short task without sticking to any roadmap and plans. So I was working a lot on completely another things that I was hired for. In the end, I was a DevOps in a small squad who was working on migration one of the biggest components with billions request per day. And we finished it.
