I enjoyed designing and bringing new products to market and received praise for the new direction of the store. I was able to streamline many of the working practices including the eCommerce to maximise sales, and I was part of the tender group for a business wide ePos system and payment system – where I naturally became in house technical lead. I was soon promoted and the Catering operation added to my responsibilities. My direct team had around 120 diverse staff including contracted, casual and volunteers and I was pleased to champion staff wellbeing and team ethos. We introduced new lines and corrected pricing to increase profit and improved the quality of the products and menus.
