I was an Independent Director on the Board of TAML and joined as the MD & CEO at their behest to facilitate a smooth transition following the departure of the previous CEO. From a company which was losing assets and market share I have, with the help of our management team, turned the company around - it is now gaining market share in Equity and Debt. Net sales of equity turned positive after 23 quarters of losses, and in my last 4 quarters the entire loss of the previous 23 quarters was made up!

I joined the Traesury in Jan 1990 and ran it until Dec 1993. In 1994/94 I was seconded to HSBC Markets, London and was an Associate in the Debt Capital Markets team. From Jun 1995 to Mar 1996 I was Head of Retail Banking in HSBC India and launched the first retail loan product forthe bank, called AssetLink.
