During my internship at Seagate, I had the pleasure to work closely with Arvind for a year. As my mentor, Arvind supported and guided me through every step of my internship, from identifying project scope to analyzing project performance. I had the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of skills and knowledge that I can benefit from. While I was reporting to Arvind, I particularly valued his ability to convey ideas effectively and clearly. In a document comparison (NLP) project, I needed to reach out to stakeholders in different teams to gather data and information. Arvind guided me to commnunicate with clarity and continuously demonstrate our competence. For example, he advised me to organize the meeting in a logical manner and present the focus area with good examples. I learned how to build good relationship with stakeholders during this experience. Besides, Arvind would always give me full context of the project I was going to work on to ensure I understand the business value of it. He would patiently explain what every metric means and how we measure them during production, which helped me a lot for my data analysis. Another thing I have learned from Arvind is to think critically. In a core project, I was working on a scoring system to predict product failure. All I did was trying to predict next steps accurately whereas Arvind thought ahead of a long-term solution where my method should be applied to future steps as well. It is my honor to work with someone who has strong technical expertise as well as solid domain experience. I greatly appreciate all the support and valuable guidance Arvind has given me.

There are very few people that I personally idealize, and Arvind is one of them. It is wonderful to see some one at his seniority level, who has rich technical expertise combined with solid domain experience and is yet so humble and diligent.
