In my role, I created new courses for undergraduate students that had clear learning goals and outcomes. Some of these courses were upper-level electives like Astrophysics, Optics, and Physics by Inquiry, the latter specifically designed for aspiring teachers. I used various teaching methods to teach these courses, such as short lectures, think-pair-share activities, small-group problem-solving, and guided explorations with peers. Also, as part of my role, I monitored students' research projects and provided guidance and support to help them succeed. I also taught a first-year foundations course that helped new students navigate the college system and adapt to new ways of learning. I developed detailed lectures based on course objectives, relevant books, and my research to ensure that students learned effectively. I also encouraged students to research independently to deepen their understanding of physics and astronomy. I facilitated lively and engaging discussions during class that encouraged students to explore topics more deeply.

In addition, I actively participated in program assessment meetings to regularly evaluate and improve our program's curriculum and teaching methods. As part of this process, I collected and analyzed data on how well our students were learning and achieving their educational goals. By carefully reviewing this information, I made informed decisions about improving our program to support our student's needs better and help them succeed. To raise awareness and promote our program to the broader community, I participated in college events and activities, sharing information about our program's benefits and opportunities with students, faculty, and staff.
