I had the distinct pleasure of working very closely with Arun on a significant new product development project and launch. During this time period, I was able to fully understand and appreciate his many talents and skills. Arun is a multi-faceted individual who has the ability to interface with the customer, accurately and technically understand his/her needs, and then come back to the rest of the team and help develop a reasonable plan of execution. His contributions do not end there, however. He also has a tenacity to stick with a project until it's final completion, being flexible enough to manage changes and modifications without adding significant time, money, or resources. In the end, his primary concern is delivering an outstanding product to the customer... and realized revenue to the company. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an experienced, creative, and dedicated team leader.

Key tasks at Fluke - Managing the electrical business unit and formulating the business strategy for long term growth - Creating and presenting Business cases to the executive board - Producing a complete market sizing analysis and segmnetation (user, competitor, industry) - Competitor product analysis - Competitor strengths and weaknesses - Full financial feasibility analysis for whole proposal so that payback can be fully assessed - Creating all key specifications and owning these throughout the whole project - Researching customer needs and validating the proposal by various techniques. These include setting up Focus Groups, 1:1 in person interviews, telephone interviews, pricing sensitivity analysis (e.g. Van Westendorpe), and e-mail surveys. I was also responsible for creating opportunities in the worldwide regulatory and standards field. As such I am involved in several technical working groups including TC (Technical Committee) 85 Working Group 8. This group is responsible for creating and maintaining the IEC 61557 series of safety and performance standards. Over the years we have added complete new parts to the series and taken the existing series to Edition 2.0. Recent work includes agreement within the group to create a new worldwide standard for PAT testers and for Leakage Clamp meters – the aim is to open up new markets by lowering technical barriers to trade and setting a high base level for all market players.
