  IP Paris Racing Team (IPPRT) is the ambitious project of Institut Polytechnique de Paris to participate in the Formula Student competition for the first time. Position and Role: • Designing the battery for the racecar • Choosing the appropriate battery type and configuration Responsibilities: • Leading the battery design efforts Achievements: • Initiating communication with previous Formula Student winners and engaging Formula E engineers for expert advice • Developed a systematic method to compare battery types based on criteria • Narrowed down battery options from over 30 to the top two contenders Skills Developed: • Enhanced team-working skills through cross-departmental collaboration • Learned professional cold contacting for seeking advice and support Challenges: • Overcoming the initial challenge of knowing where to start in battery design • Ensuring effective communication and information sharing among team members Collaboration: • Constant collaboration with the chassis department for optimal battery placement • Seamless coordination with the engine department to meet their battery system requirements Results: • Awaiting the first race to evaluate the success of the battery system Technologies/Tools: • Dassault's 3Dexperience platform for battery design and visualization Show less
