  Yogyakarta is a tourism destination which has abundant cultural resources to see and experience. There are rituals, traditional ceremonies, traditional dance and performances, people’s festivals which are held by the people of Yogyakarta which can become interesting tourism attractions. Naturally, with or without tourists to see, these cultural activities are held by the people as parts of their devotion to God and celebration of lives. Therefore, there is a need to better promote the cultural resources of Yogyakarta using integrated promotion strategies. Yogyakarta Tourism Promotion Board is independent board consist of stake holder of tourism who encouraging integrated promotion strategies ,because the cultural events and festivals are mostly held by the groups of society, communities, or other institutions (i.e., not by the Tourism Office). The first objective is to create valid and update data on all the cultural events and festivals conducted in the city. The second objective to enhance the promotion management of the cultural events/festivals by formulating integrated promotion strategy. The attempts are still ongoing. All the regular events are being recorded and rated in terms of quality, management, scale, funding, etc. The tourism office and tourism promotion board have formulated and been socializing an integrated branding and promotion strategy to better promote the cultural resources to visitors as well as local tourism industry.
