Opening a factory in Delhi has enhanced the lives of people working with us and of their immediate family members because we work towards improving their life's, through education and training. We realise that people in places like India and in Africa have different perspectives on live safety and also diffent limits of capital investment, so we work with local peolpe, working towards the challenge of protecting their lives with what means they have available. In India this has meant that we have had to re-design the fire curtain, enabling our partners to produce it under conditions and with materials available, then we carried out a fire test in the UK. We had to prove that we had succeeded in achieving our goal of working with local materials and people yet be acceptable to our European standards. Their 4hr fire test was taken during 2013 and we achieved a 5 hour pass, probably better than all of our European competitors. We look forward to producing fire curtains in other countries and welcome any enquiries from interested parties that feel they would like to manufacture fire curtains in their own country. We produced a high quality range of clothing, mainly for the export market. In our Durban we had four facilities, circular knitted goods, collars and cuffs, a dye house and a factory producing garments solely for export to Europe.
