• Hydrogen generation, distribution, and flammability evaluations in response to the Fukushima accident. I was tasked to develop models that accurately predicted the migration of hydrogen in an accident scenario. After creating the model a input deck for the hydrogen analysis was developed and used to run each different accident scenario. The results were then analyzed to determine accuracy and determine if the plant would be safe if the accident occurred. Core catcher design sensitivity studies for the APR-1400. Modeling of systems through Isometric Drawings and P&IDs for waterhammer potential.

Benchmarked a heat transfer code. Developed six different heat transfer examples for benchmarking. Used the examples to develop an input deck to the Heat Transfer Code. Ran each example from the heat transfer code and analyzed the results. Benchmarked a heat transfer code. Developed six different heat transfer examples for benchmarking. Wired instrumentation and constructed and modeled loops for two-phase flow experiments. Learned about pre-job briefing and three way communication. Verified tech-spec documents and test reports. Constructed piping layout drawings. I was apart of various thermohydraulic experiments. Wired instrumentation and constructed and modeled loops for two-phase flow experiments.
