Responsibilities included a combination of “hands-on” troubleshooting, maintenance and repair experience, to the component level, as well as the ability to manage and supervise technical projects. Specifically, I was in charge of all maintenance of the ship’s Harpoon and Tomahawk Cruse Missile Systems, including the conduct of cyclic operational tests such as DSOTS, OCSOTS, and other test procedures requiring coordination with operational, command and control Personnel. As a Work Center Supervisor who achieved the Rate of First Class Firecontrolman in record time, I was also responsible for logistics support, quality assurance, technical training of personnel, evaluation of materiel and personnel, and coordination with manufacturer representatives. Additionally, I read , interpreted, and modified schematics, blueprints, and other technical documentation, safeguarded classified material, and provided system consultation to the commanding officer pertaining to systems capabilities.
