Art, was an asset to the team. He is a natural leader both the developers and management would look to Art for ideas and support to help complete the project. Art's coding skills were of high calibre. He was able to balance completing his coding while helping other developers sharpen their skills. He had a great attitude and was a joy to work with. Of all the engineering and development professionals I've met in my time in this industry ( and that's a long time and 100's of people) I've never worked with engineer that cares so deeply about the customer experience. Art was always very approachable to those that sort our advice and always the first to sit with member of his and other teams to work through problems that often aren't even his own. Art is one of those rare breed of developers you don't get to meet very often, but hope like hell you get to work with again.

Our front-end team was struggling to keep up with the rest of the development team and the quality of the front-end code was not up to our standards. After a few weeks Art joined, the front-end team became an example to follow in terms of performance and code-quality and Art was key in such a great improvement. I am glad I had a chance with him and I hope to have another chance in the future.
