I have had the pleasure of knowing Adam Same for the past nine years. During the years of our friendship, I have known Adam in a variety of capacities. We met at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where Adam and I were both pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. We successfully worked together on a variety of projects for several different classes, including the design and manufacturing of plastic assemblies for a manufacturing methods class, the construction and programming of a simple robot for a systems class, and the design and construction of a beverage cooler for a product design class. After graduation, Adam and I both pursued mechanical engineering positions in the nuclear industry and gained valuable experience in the energy business. Adam has gone on to study alternate energies in California, and we often discuss the future of energy use and policy in the U.S. and look for ways to design implement greener technology on a large scale at a low cost. Aside from working together, Adam and I have maintained contact outside of our professional careers. I have come to know Adam as an honest and dependable guy. He is extremely thoughtful, and has an excellent rapport with everyone he meets.
