Acted as a community coach with a partnership formed between Camps International, Global Horizons and Bournemouth University. I travelled to Mombasa, Kenya for one month. My role involved me attending one school over the period of a month and coaching the students preparing them for tournament at the end of my tour. I was also involved in project work that involved me constructing various playing surfaces and pitches for the children to train and play on. Gained an insight to the importance of theoretical and office work to ensure the efficiency of field work, by promoting the company and being held responsible for office roles that included answering phone calls, ordering stock and scheduling possible coaching sessions to deprived areas. Assisted with the Brentford FC and Audi partnership negotiations, that allowed coaches to deliver their session more efficiently, with modernised equipment and travel. Augmented my confidence when addressing crowds by making public speeches and delivering coaching sessions independently. Show less
