I completed a 6 week protein engineering research as part of the university's summer undergraduate research experience. Under the tutelage of Dr Tuck Seng Wong, I conducted experiments aimed at engineering Ralstonia eutropha to convert CO2 to useful products through a synthetic biology approach. The project has since been taken over by doctoral researchers in Wong's group.
