I had the incredible opportunity of a work placement at the Senedd Cymru/ The Welsh Assembly. Working in the office of John Griffiths MS was a rich, fulfilling and eye opening experience. I performed a wide range of tasks such as but not limited to: writing press reports, managing social media accounts, creating and editing content for social media, writing topic briefs in preparation for the Member of the Senedd's debates and much more. WFUNA is a United Nation initiative created to empower students to help target the United Nation's global goals and create a more sustainable future. I worked with a team to promote the 3rd sustainable development goal of Good Health and Wellbeing. Our work was centred around reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness and promoting awareness of good mental health practices and how to best handle stress within the school environment. I worked with a team to promote the 3rd sustainable development goal of Good Health and Wellbeing. Our work was centred around reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness and promoting awareness of good mental health practices and how to best handle stress within the school environment. Alongside my team, I taught multiple classes to secondary school children in school years 7-9. I collated data, created a community needs assessment, stake holder analysis and multiple reports and presentations throughout the project to track quantifiable impact. I worked in close liaison with mental health experts and counsellors in order to provide the highest quality teaching and introduce a new extra-curricular club to ensure longevity.
