I have been working with Arnab for almost 5 years now. Arnab was my direct supervisor for a short stint following which he got transferred to collaborative research division within the organization. As a boss he gave me freedom to work, think & manage on my own providing me constructive feedback all the time. He's an extremely passionate scientist, very meticulous, having a wealth of knowledge and is ready to help. Although he is exceptionally critical on the quality of the work & can come down really hard if things are not up to the mark, he won’t shy off from publicly praising you & passing on the credit which is rare these days but are traits of a true leader. He is analytical to the core having an uncanny ability to

Metastasis is cancer's biggest killer; no treatment or predictive diagnostics are available. Mestastop has built three platforms, METAssay®, METVIVO®, and METVivo®, that fill these discovery and diagnostic gaps. The following has been achieved; 1. Prospective clinical study as a PoC for predictive diagnostics 2. Retrospective clinical study as a PoC for drug repurposing and in vitro to in vivo validation, with translational significance 3. Identification of rate-limiting steps of metastasis and novel first-in-class targets Exploring a novel Drug Repurposing Model to delay metastasis significantly; METGuard™ Show less

A new and different world for a scientist, but if one is willing to learn and not afraid of failing, sky is the limit. Market is the king. Helped me sustain my family, nourish my dreams and get back to Science. A new and different world for a scientist, but if one is willing to learn and not afraid of failing, sky is the limit. A brief period, catering to Amgen's need for Biochemical Assays & Large Molecule Production. Role did not fit with my Career Aspirations as I was inclined to lead Drug Discovery, and this was more of Production Head. Involved in building up the start-up biology facility. Was a member of the core group and participated actively in the framing of research capabilities and business development. Led a scientific team in molecular biology; cloning, site-directed mutagenesis and making stabilates of 40 GPCRs. Also assisted the cell biology group in assay development and trouble shooting. Standardized Bacterial expression system and protein purification, initiated insect cell expression system. The spectrum of discovery research was huge, It was both awe-inspiring and challenging. I realized my future lies here. Show less
