  • Performed 1) Protein purification techniques 2) Immunoassays 3) Tissue culture • Conducted literature search and reviews to determine the most suitable method for extraction of 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone from rat brain. Also I found problems in DHT radioimmunoassay protocol and implemented modifications to improve the assay sensitivity and optimize results. • Performed statistical analysis of LH and FSH bioassay, testosterone, estradiol, LH and FSH radioimmunoassays. This includes standard deviation, coefficient of variance, iterative regression, quality control checkpoints, standard curve sensitivity determination, intraassay and interassay variation. • Performed I perform surgical and clinical procedures on mice, rats and sometimes rabbits. Used ear tag system for identification purposes. • Collected blood from rabbits using their artery or by venipuncture. Performed cardiac puncture on rabbits and did subcutaneous, intramuscular or intravenous injections using xylazine as a sedative and analgesic anesthesia. • Worked with research fellows training them in laboratory techniques and assisting them in their research projects. • Developed a new LH bio assay using mouse tumor leydig cell lines and presented it in meetings and co-authored a paper on it.
