• Worked on extracting species-specific fish (namely Yellow Tail Snapper and Red Grouper) features using Gabor filters which aid in classification of fish species and population estimation. The overall feature extraction process is automated and developed a graphical user interface using Matlab. This project was funded by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). • Mentored NSF research grant students on developing image and signal processing algorithms using FPGA (Xilinx) boards. Involved in CCLI educational grant.• Proficient in teaching basic electronic and electrical circuit’s lab, Image processing, Embedded systems, Matlab, and VHDL for undergraduate engineering students.
