I was previously chapter VP and chapter treasurer. Oversaw the interaction and administration of chapters in across 34 counties (largest area in Texas). Ran the Area 3 social media page and newsletters and created a plan to increase engagement. Worked with a team to gather health care professionals to broadcast a “day-in-the-life” video. At the Leadership Development Institute we planned our area fall and spring conferences which included fundraising events, guest speakers, themes, and activities for our area members. For the Fall Leadership Conference, we ignited the area 3 spirit for the year as we had health care professionals across the area come to educate in group sessions as well as hosting “trials of thunder” where area members participate in team-building activities. During the Spring Leadership Conference, we were met with an astounding number of over 1000 participants across the area competing at the opening ceremony. Show less

Other than shadowing, making syringe packets, and checking the stock inventory, I learned about the importance of community pharmacies in terms of treating customers with care. As a summer program team member, I collaborated with the COO and other members to outreach to students across the globe (with students from 31 different countries) and guest speakers who consist of professors on topics such as neuroplasticity, movement and coordination, synaptic function, neuroimmunology, neurodegeneration, and reward/addiction. As a MYELIN ambassador I reached out to high school science department heads as well as teachers to consider the curriculum Modern Youth Education, Leadership, and Inquiry in Neuroscience (30 lessons over 7 modules).
