It contributed to a multimillion dollar contract to provide overhaul kits and technical support. Also resulted in over 50% reliability and durability improvement of overhauled transmissions. • Led a team of five engineers to conduct theoretical analysis of the current transmission design for a heavier M1A1 tank (75 Ton) application for TACOM. Minimized disruption in production schedule. • Conducted design modifications to the M1A1 transmission steering unit to address heavier vehicle weight steering capability. Eliminated no steer complaints from customer. • Prepared a project plan and follow thru implementation for a variant of M1A1 tank transmission for Israeli personnel carrier. • Selected to conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) on U.S. Marine Core Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV) transmission. • Selected as team leader for Design for Six Sigma for EFV flex coupling design. • Conducted design modification, procurement of hardware and validation testing for M109 tank transmission to adapt to Russian T-71 tank application.
