Melissa Maldonado
Ariela and I have collaborated by supporting English Learners to become English Speakers. Ariela volunteered her time to help me with a Proactive Registration event to help students with technological and advising support. Ariela is a person who can connect well with staff and students. I noticed that she enjoyed meeting a new cohort of students that she had not worked with before. Ariela was able to support and help translate. Students commented in the reviews that Ariela made the process easier for them to understand. I have also witnessed Ariela's leadership by collaborating with other departments and staff on campus by sharing students' voices and insights on how to improve their services. That clearly shows that Ariela is a person we can depend on, responsible, respectful, and dedicated. She is definitely committed to closing the educational equity gaps!

I feel honored to recommend Ariela for all her pivotal work I have recognized in my experience here at Cañada College. She defines leadership. Although, we work in a different program and she continuously offers a warm welcome when I need assistance to think of ways on how I can improve our students' engagement. When Ariela hosts workshops or has students in her office, you can see how comfortable and engaging her students are. Which I relate to the students because her quality of service is superb.
