  As part of the Advancing Health Literacy Team, I conducted outreach and education about COVID-19. We were able to connect over four hundred people in the San Ysidro community to Telehealth services. My colleague and I designed public health curriculum at the middle and high school levels, and taught lessons about disease prevention and nutrition to a cohort of ten youth. I also aided in the re-opening of the Villanueva Youth Center, where I managed the recruitment of high school teens for community service hours.
