      Started a Residential Repair company with my father in-law. As co-owner, I was directly involved in all aspects of the business including sales, project management, scheduling, mobilization, accounting and personnel. I was the primary point of contact for all customers, vendors, and employees for the business. We started the company basically as a two-man operation with limited resources. Within the first six months of operation we accomplished $75k in gross sales. After adding additional employees and equipment, we brought up our gross sales to $200k at the end of the first year. The second year we further expanded the business by relocating the entire operation to a new location and further increased the number of employees and equipment. In doing so, gross sales in excess of $300k were attained. In our fourth year, (when I departed) we where on schedule to attain $850k in gross sales. We had 14 employees, a stand-alone location, and approximately $125k in equipment. We managed to accomplish this successful growth during a period of challenging economic conditions. Show less
