Visual artist who enjoys experimenting with mixed mediums - particularly different painting and drawing mediums. I am a strong believer that art is a powerful socio-political tool and I tend to aim to create works that speak to social change. I appreciate art that can unite people behind social goals and enables the sharing of experiences and the building of relationships. • "Reframing Echo Chambers: A Call to Redesign Initiatives Against Misinformation"
      • Sep 2020 - Apr 2021

Completed an independent senior research project aimed at promoting an understanding of misinformation as a product of mistrust. Through an analysis of echo chambers as online epistemic structures that intentionally and actively discredit all relevant outside sources, I illustrated how a novel framework inspires the re-thinking and redesigning of initiatives against misinformation. Created digital graphic images to accompany museum didactics, made executive decisions on color palettes and style, and painted a 7-foot by 6-foot mural. All visuals had to integrate well with the rest of the content, inspire engagement, and reflect the theme of the exhibit. Additionally, collaborated with the whole team in all other aspects of conceptualization, creation, and design. This 7-month course was a collaborative project which was core to my degree - requiring the integration of knowledge from previous courses on the nature of learning and of social and scientific knowledge as well as on design and collaboration. We designed and built a museum exhibit on deconstructing the negative connotations associated with emotional vulnerability and its stereotypical association with femininity with the aim of showcasing how this theme relates to the United Nations' SDG #5: Gender Equality.
