After graduating from my masters in Wildlife Conservation, I was fortunate enough to be offered a job at Geosphere Environmental Ltd, working as a graduate ecologist. Here I'm provided with both in-house and external ecological training on a variety of areas, including species identification and protected species surveying. My responsibilities at this role include carrying out ecological surveys such as preliminary ecological appraisals or biodiversity net gain, but also specific protected species surveying from badgers, to bats, GCN, reptiles, hazel dormouse, birds, plants/botany, habitats, etc. When not out on site, my job duties involve writing up ecological reports, client liaison, mapping survey data on QGIS and more.
