Worked at Saint Louis University’s CHROME Lab on two main research projects. Project 1: Blind Ice Hockey Puck for the visually impaired - Created and prototyped new 3D printed, ball-bearing inserts to adapt the blind ice hockey puck to non-ice surfaces (roller hockey). - Tested and adapted a one-piece, ASA filament design enabling PTFE ball bearings to be press-fitted while allowing unrestricted rotation to greatly reduce sliding friction. … Show more Worked at Saint Louis University’s CHROME Lab on two main research projects. - Used game-like testing to optimize the inserts to withstand the extreme forces of hockey gameplay. Project 2: Wearable-haptic device for guided breathing - Research and prototyped two separate modalities for the wearable: (A) a Radially Expanding and Contracting Skin-Tracing Design, and (B), a Linear Tapping Design. - For modality (A): - Designed and implemented a design with 3D-printed miter gears to reduce the wearables footprint for user comfort. - Altered the design to work with a higher torque servo motor to avoid the cam followers from “catching” on skin. - For modality (B): - Created Arduino code to sequentially activate 6 servos for a desired duration and a specified number of times. - Soldered and tested the circuit to get a fully functional prototype.

    • Engineering Instructor for SLU STEM Immersion Camp
      • Jun 2023 - Jun 2023

      - Constructed a fully 3D-printed padlock designed to teach high school juniors and seniors about the applications of mechanical engineering - Designed TPU, linear springs to simulate the resistance of a metal lock - Created a large, see-through design that allowed the students to see the components of the lock and aided in the lock-picking exercise.
