  Groningen, Netherlands Machine Learning / Physics. I established a mathematical framework to investigate machine learning algorithms in a high dimensions. This framework involves methods from statistical physics which allow for an exact analysis of complex systems. Our key findings have far-reaching implications: that learning process is not a smooth and continuous process, providing the lower bounds for amount of data or learning time required for successful extraction of information.
