I completed a week long placement at Gardner Leader LLP in January 2020. As well as getting a good insight into the functioning of the firm as a whole I was able to spend time in different departments. I was fortunate enough to spend time in the following teams: Litigation, Inheritance Protection, Commercial, Conveyancing and Family. During the week I had the opportunity to perform practical tasks such as research, drafting letters and attending client meetings. As the ambassador for HM Treasury at the University of Birmingham it was my responsibility to inform undergraduates of the Graduate Career opportunities available to them within the government's economic and finance industry. I was promoting the Graduate Development Programme for the Policy Adviser role specifically and doing so through various social media platforms.
