As a BIM Architect working in the Urban Curatorship of Armenia, I was responsible for several key tasks. Firstly, I developed a master plan that enabled the assessment of BIM projects in a digital way, reducing the need for face-to-face processes and expediting building permit approvals. This was a challenging task, but I was able to successfully implement this plan, and it has since helped the curatorship in its mission to streamline the building and permitting process. Another important aspect of my role was to review projects to ensure that they met all relevant code requirements, so that building permits could be obtained quickly and efficiently. This involved scrutinizing project plans and working with other stakeholders to ensure that all requirements were met. It was important to be detail-oriented and proactive in this task, as any missed requirement could potentially cause delays in the building and permitting process. Lastly, I was tasked with assessing which types of projects would fit appropriately in designated city areas, taking into account local regulations, city area requirements, and the intended use of the building. This required a thorough understanding of urban planning and design, as well as familiarity with local regulations and policies. Overall, my role as a BIM Architect in the Urban Curatorship of Armenia was challenging, but rewarding. It allowed me to apply my expertise in BIM technology to help streamline the building and permitting process, while also ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
