The main responsibilities are listed as follows: -Accountable to Shannon Heritage and An Post GPO IEC (GPO Museum) Board for the improved development and delivery of the museum experience to all customers.-Responsible for budgets, sales and marketing plans, forecasting and achieving business goals. -Monitoring of KPIs to create support strategies in order to drive brand awareness. -Continuous improvement of the visitor experience by leading the team to create specialized tours and designing comprehensive visitors’ maps and self-guided routes. -Recruitment, training and development of the team in all aspects of the business such as the admissions desk, tours, retail and customer service. -Overseeing the delivery of exhibitions, private and public events and educational outreach programs. -Maintaining and creating new relationships with Dublin and national cultural, art and tourism institutions. -Coordinating contractors whilst managing tenders under the public sector procurement regulation. -Liaising with lenders, institutions and State bodies in relation to the museum artefacts. -Stakeholder relationship management within and outside the pertinent sectors.
