I made the transition from being a long-term corporate employee to an independent entrepreneur providing strategic research and counseling services to both for-profit and nonprofit clients back in 2008. Aran Roche served as a source of candid and insightful guidance. While I had extensive experience as a volunteer leader in the nonprofit sector, I had been neither an employee nor a consultant in this world -- and Aran served as my mentor. She is today a colleague to whom I turn for a "reality check" on situations for which her sage advice and counsel is priceless. She delivers her insights with clarity, respect and an appropriate sense of humor. Aran takes her work very seriously, but she never takes herself too seriously.
