In 2017, I was appointed to turn around a struggling F&B department and stabilize operations for this $7.3M private Club comprising an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones golf course, $2M in F&B sales, 4 Har-Tru tennis courts, 2 pools, a ballroom, Member dining rooms, bars, lounges, and extensive country club amenities. I managed the full P&L as well as a cross-discipline team of 8 direct reports. ✦ Delivered $8M in renovations to the Clubhouse, patio, tennis center, and pool complex; earned Top 17 ranking for the new patio. Integrated innovative programming and services property-wide before, during, and after the project. ✦ Achieved double-digit Member F&B growth for 4 years (minus the pandemic) and improved operating results 230% in first 3 years. ✦ Revitalized Member experience, yielding 91.8% satisfied or very satisfied “Club Management Experience” rating, averaging 4.31 out of possible 5; earning a 4.46 (out of 5) GM rating and a Net Promotor Score of 55.6—higher than most Clubs surveyed by PCA over the past 3 years. ✦ Recruited new Executive Chef, Controller, Assistant GM, Communications Director, Tennis Director, and Head Golf Pro, all of whom are fulfilling the Club’s vision and performing above expectations. ✦ Grew the Club from 175 Members to more than 275 Members. Maintained the Club’s culture while updating the Club’s operations to become relevant for a new generation of Members. Show less
