Akito Murayama
I was a supervisor for Ms. Shaila Islam from September 2017 to September 2019 at the Department of Urban Engineering, School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo. Ms. Islam, as a master student in our department, has conducted an excellent research on Transited-Oriented Development (TOD) in Dhaka City, Bangladesh. She conducted both quantitative and qualitative methods to achieve the research objective. She has handled and analyzed GIS-based data which was the principal tool in her research. She has also conducted qualitative interviews to different stakeholders including governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, community groups, financial authorities and also general people.
